Escarpment on the doorstep

Most of the GTA drives hours for what Milton has out its back door. The Niagara Escarpment — a UNESCO biosphere — rises right at the edge of town, and with it Kelso’s beach and mountain-biking trails, Glen Eden’s ski and snowboard hills, and Rattlesnake Point’s clifftop lookouts. Outdoor life here isn’t a weekend trip; it’s a Tuesday.
The closer you get to the escarpment, the more the town gives way to something rural and green. Campbellville, the historic village tucked against the hills, and the sweeping rural lots of Nassagaweya trade subdivision convenience for space, quiet, and scenery you’d normally pay cottage-country prices for.
It’s the quiet argument for Milton over the flatter suburbs east of it. You may commute a little further, but you come home to the Escarpment — and for the households that choose Milton on purpose, that backyard is the whole point.
