The commute math
Dempsey, Milton
Milton runs on a commute. For most of the town, the day begins and ends with Milton GO or the on-ramp to the 401, and how far you live from either quietly sets the tone of everything — the alarm clock, the price, the resale value.
The older, central pockets like Dempsey and Timberlea carry a convenience premium precisely because they shave minutes off the worst part of the day. Established, close-in, and a short hop to the train, they’re the pragmatist’s Milton.
Push further from the GO line into the newer western communities and you get more house for the money — the trade is a longer drive to the train and a life that leans harder on the car. In Milton, minutes to the platform are a real line item; buyers just don’t always price them until the first winter of commuting.
