The story of Burlington

Burlington spends most years near the top of Canada’s “best places to live” lists, and the formula is easy to see: a walkable lakefront downtown around Spencer Smith Park and the Brant Street Pier, mature family neighbourhoods spreading north, and the Niagara Escarpment — Mount Nemo, Rattlesnake Point — as the northern edge. Aldershot and the older south offer the lakeside premium; Alton and the newer north deliver the family-home dream. It’s quieter than Oakville and a touch more affordable, without giving up the lake.
