South of the QEW
Roseland, Burlington
Burlington, like its neighbour Oakville, is divided by the QEW — and the same rule applies. South of the highway is the older, established, leafy Burlington: mature trees, bigger lots, and a short reach to the lake. It’s where the town’s character and its premium both concentrate.
Roseland is the flagship — grand, tree-lined, and quietly expensive — while Elizabeth Gardens and Longmoor offer the same south-Burlington calm at a slightly more attainable entry, close to the Oakville border and the lake beyond it.
North of the QEW, the town gets newer and more affordable: family subdivisions built for space and schools rather than proximity to the water. More house for the money up north; more trees, lake, and history down south — the classic Burlington trade.
